Trackable Hyperlinked Phone Number

I am trying to hyperlink a phone number, in an email, for tracking. Email clients such as Gmail will allow a clickable phone number start a call, especially through mobile. Many other ESP's have this option, but Campaign does not.

How will this idea be used?

If we have an product that a consumer can click to call to purchase, it would really help to know how many did that. As well as the usability of clicking to call and not having to write the number down. Less steps.
