In the old email editor, users were able to access the source code, and make changes to CSS and Media Queries within the email template.
Please could this functionality be added to the new message composer, to allow users to add custom CSS to their messages.
Ideally, users should also be able to toggle between WYSIWIG & HTML for blocks/content areas, to allow customisation of HMTL, whilst still using the WYSIWIG to do the 'heavy-lifting' when building an email/template.
How will this idea be used?
Ultimately, we'd like to use the new message composer to do the heavy lifting when building messages and templates. However, we'd like to also add some additional custom CSS to improve user experience in some email clients (Apple Mail, Gmail etc.), which will not work for other email clients (Outlook etc.) |

100% upvote for this. There should be an ability to "tailor" the email a little more. Either custom CSS, or preferably, an ability to go behind the scenes and toggle Drag n' Drop components. Perfect example is the "Button" component. There is no way to "bold" the font or make macro changes to it. An ability to toggle between HTML and the GUI would be awesome!
Thank you for submitting this idea. It will be discussed internally re the possibility of implementing this functionality.
