Add 'Has Clicked *Any* link' in *ANY* Email - Scoring | Queries

You've recently shipped a change to allow users to target email behavior 'has clicked any link' within a specific email campaign.

However, with multiple email campaigns running across different verticals - we'd like the ability to target users who have clicked ANY link, in ANY email.

If possible, we'd like this added to queries and scoring models, to allow us to identify customers who are regularly clicking on our email content - regardless of which email campaign they have clicked on.

How will this idea be used?

We currently have a basic scoring model looking at Opens and Website visits.

However, some of our traffic can be directed to other channels (eg. YouTube), and we wish re-target our most engaged subscribers with follow-up campaigns.

What is your industry? Media & Entertainment
What is the idea priority? Medium

Would love to see this in Scoring, especially with the new Apple privacy settings. A lot of models I've seen look at open recency to qualify recipients as more engaged, and if we're going to start seeing opens inflated - that will make it look like truly unengaged contacts are engaging. We'll have to be less reliant on opens, and more on clicks/conversions, but only being able to look for click activity in a specific email vs all emails really doesn't make scoring on that true engagement behavior scalable.

    Thanks Jason,

    • Are you asking to perform this in a query, or in a scoring model, or both?

      • We'd be looking to use this in both queries and scoring, but the higher priority would be for scoring.

    • Have you tried using the "clicked date" feature in automated behavior updates?

      • Good shout! We do currently use 'last clicked'/'last opened' in some of our suppression queries. But I'd not thought of using this in other queries as an alternative to email behaviour fields.

      • However, specific to scoring - we'd want to identify customers based on click volume/frequency, and not just 'most recent' activity.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. We're working on a few things in this area, but I'd like to ask a clarifying question or two.

    • Are you asking to perform this in a query, or in a scoring model, or both?

    • Have you tried using the "clicked date" feature in automated behavior updates? (https://help.goacoustic.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042857574-Automated-behavior-updates). This feature allows you to create a query or a scoring rule that will detect if a recipient has clicked any link in any email within a specified date range, or for all recorded history.
