All of our customers provide their custom landing page within their own website (so outside of Acoustic Campaign) that users go to to unsubscribe from their list.

Having the list-unsubscribe automatically generate an email, which is sent to Acoustic Campaign add additional overhead for managing optin status as responses, that go to Acoustic Campaign via list-unsubscribe option need to be synced back to the customers system of records.

By supporting the hyperlink option, which is also part of the RFC specification, data updates could be much more efficient since optouts would all go to the customers main optout page.
