Referencing templates, web forms, databases, queries, contact lists, rulesets, reports, etc. by ID, rather than by name, is allowed in the XML API. I would like to see the same offered in the GUI, in addition to reference by name (so, either), for several reasons:

• Names of various components may be very similar (easy to pick wrong one)

• Names of various components are sometimes too long to fit in the "picker" widget, and there's no horizontal scrolling, so you have to guess (first part of name that is visible in the widget is identical)

• Referencing components by their unique ID leaves no doubt
