Allow 'View as HTML' links to generate a non personalised template for test emails
When sending a test email currently the 'view as HTML' link does not work, this link is useful for testing in external testing clients (such as EmailOn Acid).
This feature used to work when working with the old IBM engage UI, however, now when an email with even a small amount of personalisation (ie: %%email%% being referenced as a dynamic variable in the footer) the template fails to generate: http://links.mail.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/ui/modules/display/displayErr.jsp with a message of 'Display Error, contact Administrator.'

How will this idea be used?
We act as an ESP on behalf of the Theatre Industry, so use EmailOnAcid to quickly test and distribute proofs of third-party solus emails that we receive to external clients showing how the creative will render in key email clients as well as debugging our own campaigns. |
