Typical Data Processing develops systems against a Test database. After testing, the objects are migrated to Production and pointed to the Production database. This is not allowed with automatic programs and an entire new program must be developed and put in against the production DB without testing. Programs should have the typical ability to switch DBs, that are in the same format.
