This would enable the same functionality as the XML API for adding contacts directly to a list instead of a DB. Implementing XML API calls is has a lot more effort on development than a REST API and adds a lot more complexity to a project.

The endpoint already allows for DB to have contacts sent to so I'm guessing it's just a matter of allowing a change of destination for the contacts aside from the usual DB ID.
