Contacts on our main database are allowed to share the same email address, so deduplication for the database is enabled.
However sometimes we need to send a message to every contact that matches a query's criteria, even if those contacts share the same email address (for example changes to terms and conditions, or an account statement).
In order to do this we need to either create a separate database, which makes reporting on an individual contact messy, or turn off deduplication for the database, which risks human error if deduplication isn't turned back on after that particular email.
A better solution would be the option to turn off deduplication as a send option for manual emails, and as a programme option for automated programmes.
