Having Custom Date Ranges in My Workspaces

If I can't have a custom date range in My Workspaces and I can't create a filter with more then one marketing element in My Workspaces then what good is My Workspaces?

How will this idea be used?

To be able to run any report that is useful, currently My Workspaces is not useful and neither is Standard Workspaces if it will not return true totals rows based on specific filters.
