When we're creating a segment and filling in criteria, we're not sure of the appropriate syntax (e.g. "NONREGISTERED
USERS" vs "NON REGISTERED USERS" or are "NULL" values supported? etc). In Legacy Explore UI
there was the "Sample Records" button which opened up a box that showed examples of what various criteria
values should look like. You could then use these examples to enter criteria values.
It would be very useful if the current DA UI had a popup box like above or even a syntax error/warning
message informing we didn't enter correct criteria values.
If that is not possible then we would like at least a documentation explaining all the syntax rules/logic/values
that is appropriate for DA segments and filters.
How will this idea be used?
Currently if we enter the incorrect criteria values we wouldn't know it until the report had returned no results, and we waste time making reports. Many other Analytics tools offer the warning message of some sort. |
