Comparison periods at workspace level

As an analyst a common reporting and dashboarding requirement is to compare performance of a range of related metrics against a previous period - e.g. checkout or campaign performance vs. the same period last week, last month etc. At the moment you have the ability to run comparison periods within a single report, but you can't see these comparison periods at a workspace level.

At the moment you have to drill down into each report to compare against a previous period, so you can't analyse performance of several metrics side by side. If I could I would be able to use workspaces to create really meaningful dashboards where I can easily see how changes in performance of one metric relates to changes in performance of other metrics. Tealeaf works like this so it would be good if this functionality were available in DA too.

It seems like some work on this has started but it doesnt seem to be working yet(?) - if you drill down into a report and select the trend view and a comparison then collapse the report, you can see that comparison periods are available in the workspace widget, but no data is shown and the calendar controls are not clickable. This only appears if you select trend view.

Thanks for providing this feedback! We recently released custom dashboards, which allow you to create dashboards with a combination of reports and KPIs you'd like to see in one place, and apply comparisons to those as well. While you'll still need to apply the comparison per widget, it's quite a bit easier to see all of the reports in one view. You can also quickly add comparisons to multiple KPIs by adding up to 4 on one widget at time. To get started, navigate to "Dashboards", click the "+" icon in the upper left corner, select "Custom", then drag and drop the reports and KPIs you'd like to see and check the compare box.

While I hope this will work for you in the meantime, I understand it doesn't quite meet your needs of applying a comparison at a high level. We've added this idea to our backlog, and I'll let you know when it's planned for a release here.
