One of the configuration options for Fixed Start and End Patterns is a Character Limit option. Example:

CharacterLimit=100

This is a memory/parser protector, that if a given Privacy action using a non-RegEx Start/End pattern, that if a block found is larger than the CharacterLimit number, then the action will fail to fire.
