At present there is a blocker when trying to use "Exclude" as a toggle when searching in the Portal for Search Scope, "AND - Same Page". However with our more advanced users, they are complaining about this as they get more creative with their searches. In addition - it actually IS possible to a NOT and same page search, by bypassing the UI and using the All Text search and inputting the direct search string. Meaning, this type of search DOES work with the search engine just fine, but the UI is blocking it. Attaching screenshots of example code that works in All Text and the error experience.
