Some TeaLeaf on-prem customers 20 servers or more. Manual installations and or upgrades can take a lot of time when the customer need to copy software to servers, extract software on servers, run appropriate setups on servers, and apply upgrades on servers. In environments with 20 or more, the entire process can take hours or the better part of a day to complete.
I suggest we build some PowerShell scripts to take care of these activities. First, the customer could download all of the software to a central repository in preparation for running scripts. Then, customize the scripts to copy and extract the source software n a list of servers. So, now we have a copy script. Net, we make a script to disable services, reboot the machine, and completed the install or upgrade. Now we have an "Install" These scripts could be called independently or in order and this would automate installs and upgrades.
These scripts should be reliable. safe to repeat running over and over, and report when a failure has occurred.
