It would help greatly when customers want to document or share configuration instances with other teams. For example, id events could be sent to a spreadsheet, this information could be sent to others as an annual review for event cleanup. In addition, it would help services document site configurations as well when doing activities such as health checks. TMS export could be used to generate server checklists o document completed upgrade steps. Other exports could be used as part of cleanup for reports, etc. I suspect many more uses.
