We have the need to provide to third party legal teams TLA sessions and provide them the ability to replay them.
Today we can do that by creating a standalone exe RTV viewer with the session included in the exe.
I need is to be able to have a standalone executable (thick client like RTV) that would allow me to distribute a TLA file to a user and the user locally would be able to replay the session. I would just need replay, request and response views. I don't see the need for subsearch, but it would be nice if it could do that

For this use case specifically, is there a reason not to keep using RTV?

True. Our current plan is to provide standalone viewer capability via a new method that's made its way to SaaS first. It will rely primarily on DOM captures, so it should be perfect for your use case.
RTV cannot replay DOM (only) captures ... if you enhanced the RTV then we should be able to export TLAs and play in RTV, right?
