Tealeaf should integrate the automated WUFRL update API from Science Mobile to keep up with latest user agent update.
This will address following issues:
1. The WURFL.xml provided by IBM (included in Tealeaf Fix Pack ) contains only a fraction of user agent variations, because Sciencemobile now relying on its API to pull dynamic content from a user agent in real time to match it with a device ID in the XML file -- the static WURFL.xml no longer contain all user agent variations.
2.The WURFL API can automatically download and load the weekly WURFL snapshot update, this ensures Tealeaf can keep up with the latest user agent update without waiting for IBM's Fix Pack (FP is released every quarter which apparently don't meet the business requirement of using Tealeaf to analyse browser based customer behaviour analysis)
3. WURFL is no longer publicly available for download since 2017, Tealeaf user need to engage IBM to receive latest WURFL.xml update which increase latency and manual effort
Q&A from Science Mobile: https://www.scientiamobile.com/page/faq
Q: How do I update my WURFL data automatically?
A: All ScientiaMobile WURFL OnSite and WURFL InFuze customers are given access to a direct download URL for obtaining the latest WURFL snapshot. This is either the weekly snapshot (released on Sunday night), or an Out-Of-Band snapshot that we release to our customers between weekly snapshots in case of a significant improvement to the data (for example, if a high-profile device is released mid- week and it is not yet in WURFL). The snapshots are licensed to your organization with your commercial license included. To access the direct download URL, customers can login to ScientiaMobile (http://www.scientiamobile.com/) and click on the Login link in the top-right of the screen. This will provide access to the customer vault. Clicking on "direct download link" in the lower right of the vault will create a custom direct download URL. This URL is unique to each customer and must be kept private.
Beginning with API version 1.8.0, WURFL OnSite and InFuze include an Updater that will automatically update and load the weekly snapshot updates.

We're very actively looking into this. Question: How important is it to maintain consistency with WURFL. There are other vendors outside of WURFL. Would there be a great deal of disruption in migrating to another solution and away from (or in addition to) WURFL?
Answering question "Would there be a great deal of disruption in migrating to another solution and away from (or in addition to) WURFL?" ... Honestly doesn't matter the source so long as can accurately identify device used
