Progressive (along with other regulated companies) have data retention requirements. Although it varies by industry, Progressive has a need to retain sold policy session data for a minimum of 10 years.
In the days of RTV, users were able to retrieve archived sessions, replay them in RTV, and package them as an .exe file as needed.
For BBR, sessions have to be uploaded to SaaS for replay. There is currently no mechanism available to share these sessions with interested third-parties and giving external parties access to our internal network violates our corporate security policy.
Benefits: 1) Creating the ability to package a player along with the session will allow for sharing of SaaS sessions to external parties.
2) Packaging a player as part of the export process isolates sessions from future updates to the Tealeaf SaaS environment that will likely break older sessions.
