When Alerts are enabled for XML file output, two record types are written...
(1) when the service starts, a list of alerts, including their names, are written.
(2) when alerts fire, the alert Id and alert data are written.
This is problematic when the consumer of the alert XML file can not identify what each alert ID 'means'.
This request is to allow alert descriptions to be included in every alert file row... so that the consumer of the file can forward the meaning of the alert.
How will this idea be used?
Consumers of the Alert XML file need to have context ... what is the alert 'about'? |
