The vast majority of web forms, and all registration forms that collect PI, have a COUNTRY field. Most back-end systems that process country values use the ISO 3166 2-letter country code. When adding a COUNTRY field to a web form, offer a datatype of "ISO 3166 2-letter country code", such that all values must be from that spec.. Importantly, though, because humans need to see the written out COUNTRY name, WCA should *automatically* display the written-out COUNTRY values in the COUNTRY drop-down selection list field...even though the value is being stored in WCA as the 2-letter equivalent.
