Often a dashboard has a very specific focus, ex. Performance of web cluster A vs web cluster B. Or performance of the website vs the mobile app. In such cases the dashboard has many different reports, all using the same dimension (ex. web cluster; or application name). However, in the dashboard the colors for each chart are assigned individually, based on the dimension values that appear in each chart. So in some charts application "website" may be green and application "mobile app" may be purple, while in other charts (on the same dashboard/tab) its swapped. This makes it very confusing, and very hard intuitively interpret the charts on a dashboard.
