When creating a locked template for clients to use there is an option to create locked areas. But when inserting ruleset(s) there is no option to create locked area(s) within the ruleset(s) that sit within a locked template. This may been seen as negating the point of creating a locked template as the user can create a locked template, but leave the ruleset(s) open to editing beyond the requirement for creating a locked template.
How will this idea be used?
The client requires a monthly newsletter that they would like to build, but lack HTML knowledge to confidently built their own template to use. We have been asked to look at options to create a template they can use, but only with certain areas that can be edited (text, image and links). Locked templates offer the best option, but at the moment, when creating a locked area and inserting ruleset(s) the content blocks within ruleset cannot be locked, which negates the client request. Creating the ability to create locked areas within rulesets is important for marketeers who would like to build emails but lack the knowledge/skills. This allows technical experts to use Acoustic to its full potential. |
